Get to know us

At Bluey’s Ute World, we are proud to be Australia's first Ute gear store opened in 1994. we celebrate more than just utes—we honour a uniquely Australian way of life. Inspired by the unforgettable yarns curated by John “Bluey” Bryant, our business goes beyond gear—we bring heritage, heart, and humour to every tradie, adventurer and ute enthusiast who walks through our doors.

Our Story

Bluey’s roots stem from the same spark that lit Bryant’s love affair with the Australian ute—back in the 1930s, a Victorian farmer famously asked for “a vehicle to go to church in on Sunday and carry pigs to market on Monday,” birthing the iconic ute. Like those early innovators, we believe in ingenuity, resilience, and practicality. As Bryant tells it, the ute is “the very symbol of our resourceful ingenuity” and stands proudly alongside Aussie icons like the humble sausage roll

Our vision

We channel the spirit behind every ute yarn—whether it's a trusty workmate that “saves the day, wins the girl, and excites the dog” or a tradie’s mobile toolbox on wheels. Our mission is to equip your ute with gear that works as hard and tells its own story. From bullbars and canopies to dual-battery setups and cargo drawers, our products reflect toughness, creativity and that unmistakable dry Aussie humour that Bryant’s anthology is known for.

Our Community

Just like the stories sourced from everyday Australians—city slickers, old codgers, farmers, and young guns—Bluey’s Ute World is for everyone who gets it. We aren’t just a business; we’re part of a broader ute culture where shared laughter, repair legends, and “just one more trip” drive the whole thing forward. Whether you’re outfitting your tradie machine or kitting out your weekend rig, you become part of our story—and we’re keen to help tell it.
